Tula ladies practice Thursday Sep. 14th

# of players: 28
Late comers: Maggie, Sarah K., Liz, Sonia, HRod (ended up starting warm up at 7:45)

Torontula Women are getting serious about the season. Practice began with a warm up run before our discussion about being on time. Due to serious lateness, the team ran 15 min. of suicides. Lateness make everyone suffer, even Dwyer ;)

Scrimmage focus of the day was zone, setting up a standard 3-3-1.
Notes: The general flow was looking good and there were some great deep options.
3 focuses from the practice-
1) Keep the disc move, especially handlers!
2) Throw to people cutting to you. Leading passes in zone can be risky and you will look like a viable option when your shoulders are square to the thrower.
3) When switching to man, find the greatest threat first. Point or communicate to your teammates who you have and if confused try and cut off any possible threats before you find your person.

Tomorrow we are having our old (25+ over) vs. young (under 25) scrimmage. Losers buy beer/drinks for Tula dinner later in the evening.
Tula dinner is around 7pm at Dwyers @ Victoria Park and Bloor. 2904-09 Crescent Place, East York. More details to come.

Great work ladies, great energy! You all are making me drool from the sideline :)

Tomorrow 7:15! Don't be late...
