Warmup with A team.
Lotto. Focus on looking at your receiver and using game moves (try to set up specific throws).
End zone offense: On offence, default is iso ("T") play, and we should go directly into this off of flow. Off of a stoppage, we will set up a vertical stack. First in the stack cuts hard to one side (make it a real cut). Second in the stack cuts hard the other way. Third in the stack cuts to the front. If none of these three gets the disc, the first two cutters clear to the back corners of the endzone and the third cutter does isolation cuts (or a german). Back row needs to be active/aware. Punish poaches, but don't clog endzone. Handlers need to be active as well, with quick resets. Try to move the disc to the break side.
Endzone defense: Against the T (iso), poach from break-side, but be ready to close on your man if they swing the disc. When guarding guys in the back row, move in as much as possible to clog the cutting space. If you're poaching, and guys start cutting from the back row, you've got to find a man.
Against the vertical stack, we'll put two defenders on the open side, one on the break side, and one in front. Pick up cutters as they come off of the stack. Focus on staying in front of the cutters (i.e. between them and the disc).
Scrimmage against A team. We score 3 times, they score 11. Our inexperience showed, but so did our talent. We often had great plays and great flow, but we also made a lot of beginner mistakes: getting too excited and throwing the disc away on crazy bombs, clogging the cutting lanes, not being ready on defence, etc. In particular, we seemed to be having a lot of trouble with resets. Handler movement early in the stall count was often good, but when things got late people were panicking and two things happened: too many players crowded around the disc & the person with the disc would fail to commit to their reset.
