First off I would like to commend the women who came out for our "lazy" Tuesday practice the other day, and managed to stay intense and focused even through the cold and rain! It was amazing to see such great heart out there.

The numbers were back up today, allowing the team to focus on specific needs. The focus today was on the dump and breaking the mark, two key elements that can change the way a team looks in a game.

Practice:

  • Warm up run by Lexi today.

  • Break mark drill: Red shirts did breakmark 45's, Gold shirts did 3-man w/ Dwy. *For the red shirts, try not to force a throw, the cutter will come back and it's an easy pop pass, stay calm and don't worry about the numbers ;)

  • Up the line dump cuts: focus on faking with the dump cut, cutting to the line rather than waiting in the middle, remaining active after the deep throw for the next pass (cough... Kim)

  • Scrimmage

Nice work everyone! Numbers in practice help so much!

Tula game tonight which means no practice tomorrow. Scrimmage on Friday!
