Quiet morning with just the A guys on the field.

Review
  • Warmup
  • 45s
  • Went over plays and naming of plays
  • Practiced our play set
  • Went over some man defense philosophy. Everyone needs to be watching for what the opponent is doing and adjust accordingly. Relay that info to the captains.
  • Huck drill
  • Review
I'll e-mail out the details of the play calling for privacy sake.

Review
  • WArmup
  • Lotto
    • Discussed the cut for the berkeley. The importance of:
      • Making a hard cut up the line to setup the reverse cut
      • Proper spacing
      • Setting up for a swing throw afterwards
  • Split up A team and B team - Introductions
  • 45s break forces
    • 80% flick completion
    • 92% flick completion
    • 84% backhand completion
    • Need to improve these numbers with better lead throws.
    • Marks need to be more intense
  • Magnum drill - concept is to reset and continue the disc off the line. Lots of details here, but extends from the berkeley drill with a continuation.
  • Scrimmage - White wins 2-1. Too many turns. Defense was intense which is good.
